I kind of wish that this game would get a sequal or even a prequal and i see the potential in both. Just something to explain more like how did crow loose his hand or what new schemes he can come up with.

I just got through the good ending (Gotta admit I was expecting Hyper mack to come and help me sometime since he came to fight crow in the bad ending) and I just love Crow's and Beck's relationship. Despite everything there's no bad blood between them really. Crow was even impressed. As for a Game 2, man fighting the scarecrows(resistance named i thought of, get it?) or coming back with an evil plot that doesn't involve princesses so he doesn't get guilt tripped would be fun. Or as someone else mentioned one of the ancestors like the black sheep in the family, the anti-hero.

Correct me if I am wrong, but they said both endings are canon depending on the player. Though I did hear something about them going with the good ending for a comic book in the future or something

If they go with the good ending, its probably to keep with what the entire game had, stereotypes. Plus that betrayal and being throw into the cannon as a solution was awesome. Really thought he died.

The developers did mention somewhere that they consider the good end to be the true ending

As others have said, we don't want to dictate to players which one is the true ending. When you play the game, it's your story and it changes based on what decisions you make, how much you care about the princesses and a little bit of luck.

That being said, in order to continue the story in a satisfying way, if we developed a comic book- it would consider the good ending the true ending. While we did have ideas for how the bad ending would continue, the good ending side of the story was yielding much more interesting fruit.
