BattleEye and ESET conflict - Game and Steam crash + Windows crash

I have currently purchased ESET Smart Security Premium. After installation and everything that goes with it, I ran Day of Infamy. The BattleEye window popped up and loaded endlessly (it was only possible to turn it off). After turning off the window or stopping the game on steam (blue "stop" button), the button stuck and froze the whole steam - the whole windows and computer had to be shut down hard. The keyboard was as if it was non-functional it was only possible to click but it was not possible to open files (not the keyboard it wasn't). The problem is either in ESETE or BATTLEEYE. Do you know if anyone has experience with this??? I would be grateful for a brief solution to the problem. Thanks.

I and many others have faced this same issue. It's been raised ads a concern for weeks now but it seems the devs or those who own the rights to this game don't care to help and find a solution.

One pays for a game that was awesome until it stopped working, and they are unable to make even one update for their community. If they don't want to take care of it, let them refund our money and be done with it. They got support from people they took money from and left behind a broken game and they don't care.

Yes at this point its called fraud. Selling a dead game knowing full well it's broken with the new W11 update, no updates etc.

Report it for fraud. That's what I did and I have tens of hours in game.

I can also confirm that this game has BSOD my new gaming PC, first time this PC had ever crashed as well. I just recently obtained this PC within the past few weeks from an early Christmas sale.

My PC would not start up properly the first few restarts after this game caused issues with my Windows 11 OS.

The new devs have abandoned this game. Yet they are still flogging it on Steam. Its literally fraud at this point. Let steam know, I have.

I can play the game in practice mode after uninstalling battleeye from the game folder but i have reported it here on steam hopefully it can be fixed if enough people complain

The new owners of NWI have already emailed stating that they are no longer interested in any fixes etc with DOI. BUT, if enough people report this game to steam something may get done.

Yup I received the same email. So they are committing fraud, got it, Selling a game knowing full well it's broken, false advertising. Not notifying potential buyers the game is abandoned, broken and never will be fixed or updated.

Everyone report this game to Steam or valve.

I have had this problem as well and I just fixed it by deleting Battle Eye and the DOI Battle Eye .exe and opened the DOI.exe can join servers and play on them

FOR EVERYONE! Here's how you can run it without crashing the game

Steam/steamapps/common/dayofinfamy/BattleEye

Remove this files from BattleEye.
- Install_BattEye
- Uninstall_BattlEye

Run the game and do not install BattlEye Launcher.

If you get the BattleEye Launcher window on the bottom right, check "Do not ask me again" to avoid unnecessary reinstallation.

In case if you want to reinstall BattleEye, check the integrity in the game properties under "Files" or reinstall game.
