Game freezes my whole system up when I try to launch it.

Seems there is a problem with Battle Eye and Windows 11 24H2.
On Windows 11 23H2 and Windows 10 it still runs fine.

Delete battles, then run day of infamy this should re-download Bartley’s in the process.

I can confirm this, on 24H2 it will crash your system. Others reported this with ArmA 2 as well, which similarly has an old Battleye version.

I had a clean install of Windows 11 24H2 so this shouldn't be the problem but I tested it and uninstalled Battle Eye, started Day of Infamy on Steam, Battleeye got reinstalled and same like before:
A BattlEye launcher window pops up and reporting:
- Starting BattleEye Service..
- Launching game...

After that nothing happens anymore and PC is in a crash status. You can still move the mouse and close the BattleEye window, that's all. Nothing response anymore not even ALT+CTRL+DEL works. You have to press the reset switch or power down PC and restart.

Yep, exactly the same symptoms here.

You can still run the BattlEye-free version directly from the game folder, but most servers in the official category require it. As far as I know, all servers but SHOUBI's Extra Life and my Kim Jong Un servers fall in that category.

Insurgency uses the same BE version, so that's going to be an issue, too.

Yooooooo, fix this. Blue screen, tell the battle eye devs to patch it.

It's not a problem for BattlEye to fix, current versions of the anticheat don't have this problem, and many games use BattlEye just fine. But each game ships their own BattlEye variant, and the one from DOI is from 2018, when the last patch came out. NWI would need to update the BattlEye version the game ships and nobody but them can deliver such a fix, the included BattlEye version can only be upgraded by them.

As far as we know, NWI has no developers on DOI or Insurgency anymore, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a fix here.

I've been getting a Blue Screen Of Death for the last two days but before that I was stuck on battle eye "Loading game" many times. . I have tried many solutions to fix it but to no avail.

It actually blue screened my machine. I am really pissed off that they put some type of spyware into the game like that. I am sorry but if your on steam you should not be allowed to have ♥♥♥♥ that is dangerous to the end user.

It's the stupid Windows 11 update, i hate it and can't roll back, there's new update today. I will see if that fixes it.
