It was possible IRL but rarely done, was easier to just fire the rest of the clip off.

You can unload the gun at any part. Actually you can single-load rounds even if the clip is partially depleted in the gun, IRL that is.

Game in the past didn't let you do it, because they used it as a balancing mechanic vs the k98.
