HOW do you kill someone with a bayonet in this game?

I think I saw a tip running by that you have to have bayonet attached and run and enemy to use pressing Left Mouse . They are trying to be the most realistic game as RO did. I was looking for Melee kill methods but not found ..though I THINK I was Melee killed by bot in Practice on a Stairway... I guess I was supposed to pull up knife and use.

I just got the achievement for this a couple of days ago. First you have to fix the bayonet to your rifle. You do thin the screen where you have selected your character and you are choosing your weapons and supplies. I believe when you see your rifle on the load out screen and the bayonet of to the side, there is an options to fix the bayonet to the rifle.

To use the bayonet, you can either charge at someone (running at them while also pushing the shift key to go faster) and this will stab them, or I think you use the middle mouse button to thrust with the bayonet if you are close enough. It took me two or three stabs to kill the enemy.

Not all achievements will drop on this game, but this one dropped for me.

Bayonet is more like weapon for opportunities. Analise situation and decide when using bayonet will kill enemy but not you. If enemy has run out of ammo and goes to reload- you got opportunity. When you are entering building, it is opportunity in the corners to stab camping enemies.

You can also do a charged attack by holding the button that should 1 hit kill.
