StG is only on some maps and FG42 is on every map but Dunkirk. Every weapon is obviously only available on certain classes, which for those 2 would be the Germans equivalent to the Support class. There are no weapons you need to unlock or rank up to get, everyone has an even playing field.

You dont need to rank up to play support class with STG or FG42. You just have to load into the match fast enough to grab the class for yourself. Do know that STG and FG42 are on some maps, like how they're both unavailible on Dunkirk.

almost always choose the assault

no where from all classes there are no such weapons
If you join a map you see in the upper left corner the area you are fighting in and the date the battle took place. Any battle at 1944 and later has the STG44 (Foy, Dog Red, Flakturm etc.).
Any map 1942 and later has the FG42.
Any map before that (e.g. Dunkirk) only has the MG34

It's Support Class exclusive.

Well Crete of 1941 also has the fg42. The very battle that led to the decision of creating the fg42 in the first place.

You are aware there are different classes correct? Each class can equip their own kinds of weapons and gear. Each weapon and gear has their own equipment point costs.

The support class is the class that can equip the stg 44 and fg42 when they are available on the map. You can't equip them as assault class, you can only equip them as support. Fg42 takes 6 equipment slots and stg 44 take 7 equipment slots to replace the mg34 which takes 4 equipment slots. THERE IS NO RANK REQUIREMENT AS HAS BEEN MENTIONED. Just be support and adjust your equipment to get them.

No, as the other comments stated, there's no rank restriction, just class restriction.
Play with the Suport class and stop getting stuck in the Assault class.

I can create my weapon equipment for the class in the class settings and save the makings for the soldier?

Then I go to connect to the server?

No, you do it in the match. The more kills/assists/objectives you get, the more "Supply points" you can spend on weapons, attachments, grenades, sidearm, radio, ect.

What? You can just set up your equipment as you play the game.

Here, if you're still confused. I don't think it can get any easier to understand than this.
You don't even need extra supply points to play with this thing.
