Is there a way to play without battleye?
inb4 private server, not with that amount of daily players/lack of friends
I would like to simply play the game without installing spyware on my PC.

My real question is my title, as well as maybe news about it as I just found out today. Will there be any upcoming changes to this new anti-cheat, such as it being optional? Is there the possibility of a refund, especially since this is solely a multiplayer game?

There are pretty much 3~ servers active right now with maybe barely 100 people. I tried joining two different servers and crashed on each (that had people playing).

I'd rather not argue about the ethics of installing such invasive software like the latest ♥♥♥♥-show of a thread (the recent one with hundreds of replies that was locked).

It says right at the start that it is invasive, it loads some type of kernal-mode driver, it will need access to 'great parts' of my system.

"Everything that BattlEye does is solely aimed at achieving its goal of preventing and detecting cheating."
Everything that the NSA does is solely aimed at achieving it's goal of protecting the security and interests of the U.S. Goverment and it's people.

I am not commenting on this issue anymore. I'll make a refund request, if it doesn't work out oh well. I won't be buying anything from this developer anymore. Lock this thread if you want.
So in other words you wont be playing any big mp game, cause ding ding any anti-cheat is invasive.
Any form of security is invasive. Anti-virus, anti-cheat, NSA, FBI, CIA, MI6, Interpol. There's no privacy in the modern age. Get used to it.

If you played less than two hours, you can be refunded. Otherwise, you can't. According to devs, you should be able to join a custom game without BE if the server side has not BE installed.

You're beating a dead horse Choco.

I think I read you could request refunds for games in early access, or maybe I'm getting mixed up with some thread debating that long ago I don't know. Good luck playing only single player games anyway.

why is everyone tripping about battle eye, like you haven't installed steam that takes your computers info, or the fact you're using an OS designed by a whole team of programmers storing all your valuable or the fact your emails are compromised already, all of your personal information is already on the web but you won't install battle eye to keep a game hacker free foh lmao

BE does not gather info about you as a person or organization.

Bye Felicia. Don't forget to not use the internet if you don't want your privacy invaded. Actually, start writing letters instead of sending emails.

AT&T just keeps records of your phonecalls, when and where, for decades, but if you aren't doing anything bad you have nothing to fear. Just play your games, goyim.

LMAO :)

That's the best ever comment I've read on these discussion boards. One of the few who still has the ability of critical thinking, you've made my day, Choco :) . You're wasting your time, however, trying to get your point across to the majority of this gullible lot.

We're talking about folk who believe that "Windows 10" is a great operating system, (AND IT'S FREE TOO, WOOHOO!) ^^ .

Don't give up on "Day of Infamy", Choco. Servers will eventually appear with "BattlEye" removed or disabled, it's only a matter of time.

Must've installed on the game then. Or you didn't notice you installed it.
