Game Crashes on Startup (linked to GPU error 43)

Hi folks,

Whenever Iaunch Day of Infamy the game's graphical interface crashes and I can't access the menu - it's technically listed as running on task manager but I can't interact with the UI at all. I'm pretty sure it's a graphical issue because I noticed the problem shortly after doing a routine driver update on my 1070 via GeForce Experience software. I've tried verifying the game cache, reinstalling, backdating the game, rolling back my GPU drivers and reinstalling them, but nothing works. I get error 43 on my GPU in the device manager and can only get rid of this by reinstalling my graphics drivers, but even when I do this the game still doesn't launch properly.

I've listed the error given below - if anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

Try this.
Disable Auto Driver Updates from Windows Updates

Then uninstall NVIDIA Drivers & Software; reboot as needed, then install latest "WHQL" version. http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/91812 During NVIDIA installer, select Custom and tick "Clean Install" box.

Thanks for your reply L4 - everything was going well until I ran the NVIDIA installer - during system compatibility check I got "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue - the graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." Any idea what this issue might be? I uninstalled the NVIDIA drivers and software just as you said.

got a buddy with this same issue i dont think specs matter its failing too start on his nividia card and auto selecting his cpu too run graphics. anyone got any ideas whats up????

You have to contact your system/hardware vendors for any system/driver/hardware related issues.

"Microsoft Basic Render Driver" means you do not have proper GPU driver installed or it did not recover from a crash.

why is day of infamy break his card every other game works but day he loads up it screws his card up it doesnt make sense

This is exactly what happened to me. I still can't get it to work but I don't see how it's a problem at my end becaue it worked fine prior to the update. It's really annoying because I've seen loads of other cases with the same issue and no-one has been able to resolve it & devs haven't been very helpful...

filed a ticket dev told me its on our end but my buddy still isnt able too play even after a full pc wipe devs dont care at all about this issue here
