Day of Infamy

Bug (Linux): Can't rotate first person camera in all directions.
I'm not sure why it's only happening lately with Insurgency and Day of Infamy (compared to other Linux FPS games), but I am unable to rotate my first person camera in all directions at a full 360. It seems my camera rotation is locked at the edges of my display.

Anyone have a solution to this or a console command I should be using?

Thanks

Can you record a video? Also try putting joystick 0 in the console.

joystick 0 in the console does not work. Here's what I recorded, as you can see my first person camera controls are locked at the edges of my screen.

Other Linux FPS games, I do not have this issue: such as Serious Sam and Ballistic Overkill.

Freaky. The same happens in Insurgency too?

Yep. This didn't happen before when I played it 3-4 months ago. Maybe it was from a recent patch/update? (Yeah, I know. I didn't game on Insurgency and Day of Infamy quite some time)

I'm afraid I don't know what to suggest. Doing the basics (verifying cache, reinstalling) might help. Perhaps resetting controls to default?

Doesn't appear to work...Eh well. I guess I can try again in a couple of weeks or so. Or join my friends install Windows for gaming...gosh I hate Microsoft!

Linux gamer here. I had similar problem with Insurgency. Try to switch mouse input to another mode (raw, AFAIR) in game settings.

Hopefully it gets patched out. I mean I'm still playing Insurgency and DoI, but I have to compensate the lack of camera movement by turning my sensitivity high to look around 360

So, switching modes doesn't help you?

Try direct mouse input if you haven't already, and turn off mouse accelaration.

Does this happen in other games or only source games?

Just checked myself: disabling Raw Input in Controls limits mouse aiming (can't turn head more than about 180 degree). Enabling it back solves the problem.

Thought so aswell, i can't comprehend why anyone would want to play without direct mouse input in the first place.

An update can mess with settings. I believe it was the reason when I've got same problem with Insurgency. Didn't touched settings in months.

For some reason, that works! I haven't even thought of that. Thanks
