B-Patrone ammo
"High-explosive incendiary ball bullets contained phosphorus and "had a pellet in it which exploded on contact with any target, however frail". The projectile featured an internal floating firing pin mechanism that automatically armed during firing and detonates a small capsule of tetryl which in turn ignites the white phosphorus in the nose of the projectile during sudden deceleration producing a clearly observable amount of flash and smoke. It had a muzzle velocity of 800 m/s (2,625 ft/s) and an operating pressure of 300 MPa (43,511 psi). The B bullet was like any other high-explosive or incendiary bullet, illegal for anti-personnel use according to the Hague Conventions. "The Germans maintained that it was used mainly for observation and range-finding, but observers report having seen them in rifle clips and machine gun belts". The regular German infantry units were not allowed to use this round; however German snipers on the Eastern Front were permitted by Adolf Hilter in February 1945 to use these rounds that caused horrendous wounds as the projectiles tended to detonate after 100 to 130 millimetres (3.9 to 5.1 in) penetration in human tissue. Karabiner 98k service rifles handled these cartridges without issues. This cartridge can be recognised by the black circular cap groove, yellow bullet. This ammunition was also produced in a B-v high-velocity or "v" ammunition variant that added 110 m/s (361 ft/s) muzzle velocity to the normal B variant."

Would be an interesting in-game cartridge for use by German snipers w/K-98. Balance wise it could simply cause the same damage as the current default 7.92 or perhaps create an extremely small amount of splash damage. This round would be interesting from the viewpoint of popping heads like watermelons and blowing off limbs to showcase DOI's dismemberment model.

B-Patrone was also implemented in the popular Immersion Overhaul Mutator for RO2. Had a lot of fun with it there.

Banned on the Western Front.

Kinda pointless and, as Jonnydodger said, banned on the Western Front.

Edit: Russian mod designer might listen, but will probably answer that he has to work on other things first (just like NWI does.) Your actual best bet would probably be to ask if someone could mod it, whether or not that is possible idk.

Yeah it's a bit pointless but would be neat considering the dismemberment model. Wasn't aware it was banned on the western front. :-( I can imagine the Germans didn't always follow rules though :-)

Was actually banned on the Eastern front until February 1945.

Well, we currently have the standard Wehrmacht in the West with the full auto M1932's in-game so why not just break the suspension of disbelief a bit more with exploding ammo that was banned. Hah!

Let's not go any further with suspending disbelief.

Once again, the end all be all COOP god speaks. He has graced us with his voice. This is where we draw the line. No exploding ammo because alas, we already have TOO MUCH suspension of belief. Fish sticks says "You have a good point"

OF COURSE, HE'S JOHNNY DODGER, HOW DARE YOU REFUTE HIS ROYAL CLAIM

Well this time I have to agree with Johnny when I definitely haven't agreed in the past. The ammo wasn't historically used on the western front and I can confirm that with everything else I just read. I already hate the inclusion of the M1932 so perhaps exploding ammo doesn't fit the front as well.

Devs will do what they want anyway. I have only started one thread here that was noticed. That was putting a selector switch on the BAR for the RPM selection. It was apparently worthy to the devs.

That was you? That was a nice idea.
