8x Unertl scope on a 1903A3?
The 8x scope for the American sniper should not be mounted on the 1903a3 (the model used in-game). The Unertl scope was used by the USMC on the 1903a1.

1903a3 (with the M73B1 4x scope)

1903a1 with Unertl 8x scope:

REALLY minor issue, but one that irks me nonetheless. I don't even play sniper all that often because it turns my 1070 into a blubbering mess.

and the korean war m1 carbine
The M1 carbine was issued during WW2. The M2 carbine (select fire with full auto) was Korean war. The M1 carbine was very much a WW2 issued gun. Unless you mean the bayonet lug on the M1 carbine, which I am not sure whether that was late WW2 or a post-war addition, but I think that it's the latter.

The adjustable sight and the bayonet lug were late-war modifications, actually. But of course, most issued M1 Carbines at that time were still of the early type.

i said korean war m1 carbine because it is the late war / korean war m1 carbine that is anachronistic for the most part

The M1 carbine was issued during WW2.

6,121,309 of them in fact. Not bad for a weapon initially designed for support troops and vehicle crews.

You convienently ignored them saying it's the Korean War variant of the M1 Carbine did you

Yeah, and then everyone wanted one instead of lugging around an M1 Garand. To fight in the mountains.
