Looking around there's a post from 2018 talking about it the month after release. Combined with the interview being in 2021 kind of suggests developers standing firm to their design decision. But there's always hope a mind will change one day.

Which, to be fair, if you have, then makes sense. Developers should maybe include some manner of disclaimer for that. Trying to play Ubisoft titles must be even bigger torture though, I imagine, lol
