At first the game didn't even load. Using -eac_launcher the game loads but crashed within a few minutes of gameplay.
Used to play for hours at a stretch just last week. WTF changed?
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with launching the game at the moment
The first thing I would suggest is to attempt each step suggested here[support.ubi.com]. These steps are known to resolve most of the common causes of crashing/freezing.
If after doing so you're still experiencing issues please let us know.
Thanks,
- Ubisoft Support
If the suggested steps I linked above haven't resolved the issue for you I would recommend opening up a support case with us and submitting your system files on that case.
You can reach us either through the support website[support.ubi.com] by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook[en-gb.facebook.com] and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you.
After you've opened the case if I can also ask you to attach two system reports to the case that will assist us in identifying any potential cause. The reports we need from you are:
MSInfo[support.ubisoft.com]
DxDiag[support.ubisoft.com]
Thanks.

What a dysfunctional and greedy company. They have set things up so that all of their games MUST launch in Ubisoft Connect, and in my case they've refused to help a customer address a UPlay activation scheme (Ubisoft Support simply ignores all questions about UPlay).
Valve and Steam are also at fault here in that there is no way for me to ask Valve/Steam for a Ubisoft activation / CD Key for the game. My only choice is to request a refund, but I purchased the game too long ago for that.
If Ubisoft Support reps are reading this, I'm addressing Case 17833933. The reps are very friendly but nothing they've suggested has been helpful. It's almost like they're trained to give me tasks/quests that go nowhere - the result (game won't get past a quick 0.5 second splash screen) is exactly the same as when I contacted them in February.
I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you, or anyone else. I do appreciate that you reached out to the support team via the email case you mentioned, although I'd like to ask you not to share your case number on the forums in future.
I've had a quick look and can see your issue seems to have been resolved on your case, so just let us know if you're needing help with anything else.
DOMESHOTMAFIA and sshortguy1 Sorry to hear that you're having similar issues.
If you do need some help with this, I recommend trying out the suggested steps by Ubi-Orion and if the problems continue, please open an email case with us and attach the requested system files so that the support team can take a closer look at what might be causing this for you.
Thank you in advance!

it worked for me
this fix worked for me. For the price Ubisoft is asking the game should work right away without hours of troubleshooting.
Wacht_Dogs (1, Chicago) works without problems.
My PC is a i7 12th generation, 32GB ram and a RTX 3060 TI.
