FOUND WORKAROUND FOR NO DIALOGUE SOUNDS!!!

Is your game stuck to "english" in settings menu and there is no sound? Let's fix it!

Go to game install foler > "data_win64" while in this folder, rename every file that contains your language, to english. Example: "installpackage_brazilian.dat" change to "installpackage_english.dat".... After renaming all files, in this same folder, go to "worlds" > "san_francisco" and do the same, renaming each file that contains your language to "english" and YOU'RE GOOD TO GO! The game will think those files are for english and will work as intended in your language.

Here's what's going on: Ubisoft made the download of the game different for each region (downloading only the sound pack for your language to reduce disk usage). So the reason why you have no sound in dialogues is because there are no audio files for english on your disk. And something went wrong maybe with game update/server that is forcing game to use english sound pack.

Sure! But what's going on is: Right now the game is forcing English only (in-game audio settings, it's not changeable even in the main menu) subtitles are fine, you can change them in game but not audio... So for people who want to use their language (not enlgish) for audio, that's the way around until a patch comes out. Also, for WD2, Steam download only your selected language, if you change language in steam library > properties the game will delete any other languages in game folder and re-download the selected one.

This happened all of a sudden... It was working fine a few days back.

With the 2 Dat files you can change it in game

Got it! So the alt way to do it would be to do a backup of your local language files, then go to game on steam > right click > properties > language: english, then the game will download english files... After that paste local language files together with english files and it'll be changeable in-game (if no backup is done, steam will overwrite language files with english ones, i've tried it).

It works!, i tried everything and didnt work, this is the first one who actually is working!

It works - in my case i have only the option for Audio English and my files was named in the data_64 and san_francisco folder german.dat and german.fat - I do as he told an yes it was forced to read the renamed English which has the content of the German Audios. Works perfectly - thx a lot
