Any quick ways to reveal all research point locations ?
Finding a website that shows all the research points locations, then going to every single point to reveal it on my map, sounds like it's going to be very tedious. Are there any quick ways to reveal the location of any points of interest over the map ?

If there is something I can unlock later in the storyline, please tell me so I know to wait for it.
If there are cheats, I'm willing to use them to reveal the locations then turn the cheat off. I'm still planning to go in and grab each one without cheats as there has been a decent variety in grabbing the ones I've got so far. Especially the one that required using Marcus' head as a platform for the jumper to jump from to get into a high opening (I haven't got the jump height upgrade yet).

From what I know, this game give you plenty of RPs. So, just play the way you are in mood to do so. Grab that RP that you just on the map, do side missions, do main, whatever.

I'm just walking, driving, and fast travelling everywhere, doing side missions and grabbing whatever I find in the way.

Pity. My first time playing an Ubisoft open world game and I start thinking that the towers everyone was complaining/joking about were a good mechanic.

I enjoyed the tower climbing.
Players nowadays whine too much.
Than they go to the forums and call other of whiners.
=P

How fun the tower climbing was isn't my point.

It's that towers are an obvious target than, when completed, gives you the full map of an area. Which would be better than drive a bit, get out of car, pulse the scanner, get back in car, repeat over the entire world.

Towers respect the players time better than having to walk over the entire game world. Well, the ones in the Mad Max game did, and those were compared to Ubisoft towers.

Though I think what got people complaining about towers is Ubisoft sticking them in every game. People were joking that The Crew was going to have you climbing towers in your car, up until it released.

I was making a remark, chill.

Anyway, you don't need to get out of a vehicle to have a point of interest to be reveled. Just driving near it will unlock it. Red areas also indicates that there is something there. And will have a little check mark at the map if you already completed it.
You can also just use the gadgets while inside a vehicle if you want to scan around you. And going too far way with automaticaly recover the gadgets.

I tried scanning from a vehicle. Trying to launch the drone to scan from it didn't occur to me.
You can't Net Hack from a vehicle, and the hotkey will trigger "Look Back". I said, passing nearby the spot.
But you should be able to deploy the drones. Check the Driving hotkeys.

Is there a difference between how close I need to drive and how close I need to be while scanning to get the spots to show up on the map ?

I've also been thinking alternatives to towers that provide some breadcrumbs for players to follow. Only two ideas come to mind:
- Walk into map region. Reveal everything. Not that interesting.

- When you complete one icon on the map, it may reveal other icons. Fluff this as saying that grabbing the object gives key pieces of data that, when combined with data stored online, pinpoints other points of interest. I'm thinking have a bit of randomness to it, where you have a chance to reveal random points of interest based on how many discovered and undiscovered POIs are left incomplete (100% chance if you've completed all discovered POIs). Maybe the data analysis only narrows them down to marking a region on the map and you've still got to go and explore for the exact location.

Of course, I doubt Ubisoft are going to make any changes to this game at this point. At most it's an idea they might use in a sequel if one ever happens.

I've gone through the map two posters linked and I think I've discovered all of the research points except for number 71. The text on the site describes it as:
The research point 71 is on the roof of an apartment complex. Get to the inner courtyard and use a nearby lift to reach the floor with the red terminal. Hack in and then perform a remote hack on the antenna.
But I don't see anything I'd recognise as an apartment complex anywhere near the 70, 71 marker.

Could anyone point me in the right direction ?

And the pic of the apartment complex with the research "spot". The closed circuit terminal is hidden and should pop up with Net Hack

Cool. :)
Just a tip for all current and future players, if you zoom into the map until you reach the maximum zoom level, the reasearch points, cash bags/pouches, and other collectibles which have been picked up, will show up as tick marks. This helps with checking later.
