Family sharing ?
I've been having issues with watch dogs not being able to be played from my brother's shared games.It says authentication error and I play with his uplay account as well.
I play any other ubi game that is connecte with his account and it doesn't give me that issue

The game can not be family shared, due to secondary Uplay authorization.
And none of the game witch use that method, can not be family shared !
Same like GTA 5, also ca not be family shared .
One account, one game, one owner .

I played far cry primal with no issues though so is there any different

You can't share this game with out giving your uplay account details .
Family share does not work like that .

I'm already in his account but using my steam account so idk I played other ubisoft games which were shared library with no issues its just Watch Dogs 2 that are having issues

You simply can not link other users game and Uplay account to your steam !!
The game is only working if you would use his full steam + Uplay account.
