Watch dogs 2 ram issue
I have an issue when playing watch dogs 2 its using up 7gigs of my ram out of 8 but not using any of my Decated video ram of 3gigs on my gtx 1060. and wd2 says i do not have a enough ram to play the game. and is shutering when playing. why is watch dogs not using any of my gpu vram ? and only using my Ram for everything ? when i have decated gpu?

The game is too demanding on RAM. Enough even 4 GB of video memory, but for smooth operation you need 12 GB of RAM. At 8 GB itself there are drawdowns.

Are you sure he isn't using your vram at all?
Btw, when i had only 8GB of ram, i suffered from shutering as well (but mostly because my 2GB VRAM), but if theres one thing i recommend is: for Ubisoft games, aim on 16GB of RAM.

it was running fine beofre the frist 2 days of playing it. no its not using any vram at all according to my status overlay i use for benchmarking. before it was uing my vram and about 5.9 gigs of ram. im just confused why it changed im able to run at very high settings with out issues till today. also i got my gpu overclocked to 2135 mhz with a memary boost of 4500mhz with a core voltage of 100% im also using ddr4 2133 mhz 8gv 1 slot ram with a
Intel® Core™ i3-8100 Processor
6M Cache, 3.60 GHz coffie lake cpu. im gonna try running at medium settings. aslo its mostly studering when driving a car at high speeds. and when frist launching into a sory mission then settles down after a cupple of minutes. my guess is its my ram not enugh or my cpu or both? this is my frist pc build for my self i cheaped out on some parts but did my research on them i also use a gigabyte z370 hd3 mobo. gpu is msi btw. if its gonna be an issue for this game to run ill wait till i can upgrade the memary and cpu. i just dumped 1200 bucks in this thing the gpu costed me way mnore then it should have and only one i could frind since there not shipping gpus from the manufacture untill the mininng thing dies down i basily got the only one left in a 600km radius. had to go to kamloops.if i remembver corectly this mobo supports 32gigs of ram so does my cpu. my questin is is gta 5 as memary hungry as wd2? i might exchnage it.

not sure what is going on with your pc in this game but that aside you seem to be making some poor hardware choices if you want to play modern demanding games. in your effort to save a relatively small amount of money you are causing yourself more problems in the long run. instead of the 8100 you should have bought an i5 for just a little more money especially since you have to buy a z370 board anyway. and heck this game will peg all 8 threads of my i7 quite often and can't even keep 60 fps in cpu limited areas.

instead of 8gb of ram you should have bought 16gb. ram prices are a bit crazy now though. you getting the 3gb version of the 1060 was not a wise long term decision either. you already have to make concessions from day 1 with that card and it's only going to get worse as games get more vram hungry. and when you run out of vram you only have the aforementioned 8gb of system ram which is already not going to cut it in some games even if you did not have to use some wne running out of vram.

I got the only gpu i could find but i will upgrade once i find one at a reansoable price. would i be better off upgrading my cpu to a Intel Core i5-8600K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.3 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I58600K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630 or a Intel Core i7-8700K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I78700K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630. i will be upgrading my ram to 16gigs when i go to kamloops to get another 8gig ram stick for a total of 16gigs ddr4 ram. i know i ripped my self on my cpu. but i needede my rig up and running asap for my courses. and i only paid 67 bucks for my cpu i got a good deal on it. for right Watch dogs is playable till i upgrade ill deal with it. i have to get car insurannce frist. before i do anything. now that there done and i passed i have a new job. i can afford to pay more now. lol i Work for H R Block now. i want to be able to get a cpu that i can overclock. if those cpus may not be good enoug what unlocked cpu would u reccomend i get? and what gpu sould i upgrade 2? thanks in advance :)
