try adjusting pixel density below 1 until you get solid fps

General PC tips and tricks to get the best Watch Dogs 2 PC experience
For players who are looking to find ways to improve their PC experience and performance, we strongly recommend you read this FAQ to ensure that your specs adhere to our recommended specs: PERFORMANCE ISSUES IN WATCH DOGS 2[support.ubi.com]

For PC players using Nvidia and are looking for ways to get smoother performance, we also recommend you do a clean install of your drivers. To do this, players need to re-install their drivers by checking the “Perform a clean installation” checkbox like so: http://i.imgur.com/Hp8QgHA.jpg

How to clean install drivers:
-Choose “Custom (Advanced)” option, not the default “Express (Recommended)” option
-Select the “Perform a clean installation” checkbox at the bottom of the screen that comes with a disclaimer below it

We also recommend PC players using Nvidia to check out this Watch Dogs 2 Graphics and Performance Guide by Nvidia for more tips: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/guides/watch-dogs-2-graphics-and-performance-guide?ClickID=bk1fqqdkzmzgumfmudlesmgkvmusulykfgyg

If you’re experiencing some performance issues like low framerates on 4K resolution and Ultra config and texture pack on high end PCs, here is a workaround that may help some players: try reducing the render resolution. Screen Space Reflection (SSR) is very demanding on Ultra setting; players need to change SSR to very high (especially if you’re experiencing low framerate at night in the game, when it rains).

Players also need to have more than 6GB VRAM if using the Ultra texture pack. If you have a dual GPU system, both video cards need to have 6GB or more of VRAM in order to use the Ultra texture pack

More info in the FAQ on this: https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000025691/Low-Framerate-On-4K-Resolution/

We also invite you to take a look at the Known Issues Thread which we will keep updated with the latest information and workarounds.

Thanks!

I have a GTX 970 graphics card, i5-4670k processor @ 3.40 GHz, 8gb of RAM and my drivers are up to date. The problem I'm finding is that even on low settings I can't get a consistant 60 fps, which i find very confusing as I can run more demanding games like GTA V without any troubles. Also, changing the in game settings has a very minimal effect, which leads me to believe that this is possibly an issue to do with the game?
If anybody has any ideas on how to fix this I would really appreciate it because, unfortunately, it's slightly ruining what otherwise is a great game.

Temporal Filtering = on (1920x1080=80FPS, 2560x1440=68FPS)

"In our testing, we found 2560x1440 to be the sweet spot for "Temporal Filtering", giving us a 60 FPS experience with improved image quality. To set this up on a 1920x1080 monitor you'll need to activate NVIDIA Dynamic Super Resolution, as detailed later in the guide.
"Temporal Filtering" is, in our opinion, a revolution for gaming, enabling significant bumps in image quality and performance, without a reduction in detail of other settings. Essentially, free performance with no readily-seen drawbacks."

I have 60FPS stable with 2560x1440 Super Resolution with temporal filtering on, SMAA and 60hz and 60 FPS Limit and for getting some FPS in "backhand" Pixel Density = 0,75!!!

Sorry for that, but you can use the nvidia tweak guide without Temporal Filtering!

For that try:

All "things of wast" off (DoF, MBlur, SSR) 1920x1080, most Setting on High, no Monitor Sync no AA only SMAA and 60hz and 60 FPS Limit and for getting some FPS in "backhand" Pixel Density = 0,75!!!

If you can´t run 60FPS with that, than make a limit of 30FPS because stable 30FPS are good!!!
