Multiplayer is entirely seamless this time around and it really adds to the experience if you're willing to put up with a few troll invaders every now and again. If not, just turn that off in the settings (you can leave coop encounters on separately).
However, it is very demanding on hardware if you're targeting 60fps. I have a i7-2700k@4.2Ghz paired with a GTX1070 and it barely scraps by, often dipping to 50-55 fps in the more intense city areas. If you have a Broadwell or later generation processor though, you should be fine.
Worth it on sale, not at full price...
Better than WD1, but still buggy and unpolished in some areas (most notably being the gunplay and controls)
Also unlike WD1 I have yet to find a way to disable the online stuff entirely. Even with all online turned off the game shoves pop-ups for the online missions in your face constantly (and in a way that makes them seem like they're the next single player mission!!)
So if you hate online and get it, prepare to be annoyed.
