Ever since they changed The Division method of activation to automatic activation steam owners don't get any activation code or cd key or whatever you like to call it.
They did same thing with Watch_Dogs 2 its automatic activation for steam owners.
Which means in end if YOU owned this game on steam.... you wouldn't able to find any cd key by looking in library and that is my point.
Assassing Creed Revelations is old game and uses old type of activation hence why your advice is wrong.
PS if new South Park game came out it prob is going to be also automatic activation as well.
Its new method of activation on steam (which can be buggy at times) this game doesn't have cd key not if you bought it on steam.
I bought watchdogs 2 on steam and the WW uplay activation thing is in the dlc but when i go to launch the game it sitll asks for a CD key or activation code. Any help is great!
If you bought on steam then you won't find any cd key because this game activates without one.
If uplay is asking for one then that is a bug or error.
Possible fix:
1. Log off on uplay and close it and then restart steam.
2. Try setting steam to run as admin.
3. Verify game cache
4. Uninstall Uplay (only uplay) download uplay client from ubisoft and reinstall it.
5. Or go to your game folder which you can get to by going to your library right click on game then click properties>Local Files>Browse Local Files and then delete in folder two files:
uplay_install.manifest and uplay_install.state
i dont have uplay_install.manifest and uplay_install.state in watch dogs 2 folder '-'
This solved the same Problem for me:
- close STEAM and UPLAY
- rename UbisoftGameLauncher64.exe in UbisoftGameLauncher64_no.exe
( UbisoftGameLauncher.exe 32bit should now be used!!! )
- Start UbisoftGameLauncher.exe as Administrator
- Start Steam.exe as Administrator
Start Watch_Dogs 2

This worked for me
Thanks for report!
No I have made a Guide hoping it will help millions!!
Have you been able to launch the game at all since you purchased? What is your Ubisoft account username?
