Watch Dogs 2 activation code

I bought watch dogs for christmas, and when i try to play it. uplay pops up and tells me i need the activations code, ok. my problem is where the ♥♥♥♥ is the code at to play it. ive never had this problem before. it seems other people have this issue as well but no fi for it yet wtf

If you bought on uplay game you should contact support for that one.

Steam owners don't get activation codes because its automatic activation so I doubt posting here would help you with your problem at all.

No need for a freakout. Simply go to your Library, click on Watch Dogs 2, click CD Key, and copy and paste that to the code activation in uPlay.

yea there is no cd key any where, i already got a refund for the game from steam.

same thing happen to me. I fixed it buy completely shutting down uplay and steam. Make sure to log out of both. Then open steam only. Do not open uplay. Login into steam then click play. If a uplay thing comes up to login that is when you login.

Guy already refunded so he won't be testing it anytime soon.

there is no view cd keys anymore, steam normaly activate the game asking you to accept that they will add the game to your uplay game list.

This is a bug. Exit Steam and open it again as an administrator.

Yeah, if you don't start Steam as Admin then you'll have this problem activating UPlay games. Guess Steam is passing the info to UPlay and if it's not admin it can't do it. I personally had the same issue and starting Steam as Admin fixed it

Rebuying never magically fixes any problem specially this kind so stop expecting any official fix anytime soon not unless steam improves.

Problem won't be fixed so only thing remains is to try workarounds suggested on countless threads.
