Game freezes and crashes
I've had the game crash on me several times now. Seem to happen when I initiate a gunfight or just pull the trigger shooting a gun for some reason. Highly annoying.

Same thing has happened to me twice over the last 2 days. Do me a favor.

Go into EventViewer and check under Warnings/Display. See if your Display Driver crashed and successfully recovered. You can also check your Reliability History (search for it under Win 10) and check for a ''Hardware Error''.

No hardware or software issues outside of the game itself.

Not saying that, but i'm wondering if the game is causing your driver to crash as well. It's easily identifiable by checking your eventviewer.

I know and that's what I did. Also. If the driver crashes you'll get a notification saying just that. I got neither that or any reports of it in the event viewer.

That's really weird then as what you're describing is exactly what happens to me sometimes during gunplay. Your reliability history is clean as well?

And you have driver crashes? Yes my reliability history is pretty clean. Only thing in there is from "unexpected" shutdowns triggered by myself. So not really unexpected.

Yep, driver crash is the cause of the game freezing for a few seconds (you can still hear sound in the background) and then crash back to desktop.

The reason i'm asking if your driver crashes is that it seems to be happening to other users on their forum as well as myself.

There is also a more severe issue you can read about here (unrelated to this particular problem though): http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1526711-Windows-not-working-properly-after-exiting-Watch-Dogs-2/

If you run into that problem you'll know why.

Please run through the steps i've posted above to confirm if you're having the same issue as me and others on the Ubi forum.

For some perhaps. Thing is I don't get any reports about the driver crashing at all.

I haven't checked event viewer, but I think my issue is similar:
