Windows not working properly after exiting the game

Anyone have this problem?

Sometimes (but not every time), after you exit this game, Windows becomes unresponsive, can't open task manager or other programs and you are forced to restart the PC by clicking the restart button on the case.

Looks like the game not closes up properly and still continues to run in the background and this somehow messes with Windows.

NEVER had any problem with other games. This issue happens ONLY with this game.

Don't have any other problems with this game. Optimization is fine.

My PC parts are 6700k, 16GB RAM, GTX 1070 and SSD with Windows 10.

same here, right now doing mission and it was starting to lose frames idk why though and then it started ti black out and i still heard some background music and stuff like that and it crashed after 30 sec. Man this game is ♥♥♥♥ atm

yup. I was just exiting WD2 a few mins ago and the application froze for a while and then returned me to the main menu.

Strange how you mentioned this now. I got this last night when i exited the game. My taskbar was not responding but my desktop was okay. I've thought it was issue with multiple alt-tabs i did during last play session so I scuffed it as a fluke. I just made a bat file with a shutdown command since task bar was not responding and all was well after that.

Well, mine OS becomes almost completely unresponsive after I exit the game. I CAN use already running programs and apps (Steam for example), but if I try to start task manager, open chrome, Fraps, Geforce Experience, start new game or any other program, it simply won't open, just nothing happens. And I can't shut down or restart PC usual way, because nothing happens, the only option is to click the restart button on the case.

I never had such issue with any game before. It's the first time in 16 years of gaming.

i have this issue. win 10, latest nvidia drivers. doesn't always happen, but it's always tied to me exiting watch dogs 2. browser works, but videos won't play. the bar keeps going, but no video.

i can't open task manager, nor restart the PC. the only thing that works is pressing the reset button on the case.

no other game does this, the game itself runs great, no issues, only this issue when closing the game.

For now propably the best way to avoid this issue is go to the task manager and close the game from there instead of clicking "exit game" in main menu.

same... and it's harder to connect with other players now, harder to conncet ubi server and sometimes it says i don't pass the eac bs

or just alt+f4 after exiting to the main menu. that way the game is saved, and no need to alt tab.
