then it use post processing and upscale to run it at 1080p or what ever you resolution is
so you gain framerate but loose in visual
it's made for weaker pc so they can still play the game
you should NOT have to use it if you have a 980ti a 1070 or a 1080
if you experience framerate drop without it it means that the game optimisation is terrible, normally you shouldn't have to use it with a 1080 to get a steady framerate
I'm just curious as to why its grayed out for me. It does not even give me the option to turn it on I've seen other GTX 1080 users turing this option on for what ever their reasons are. I had no intent on actually using, rather more concerned as to why i cant get this option to turn on. Thanks
I have two 290X in crossfire but read that temporal filtering don't like mgpu, so I disabled crossfire, but it's still greyd out. I don't use MSAA so that's not the problem.
They're really slow fixing good mgpu support. It took ages for them to fix it in Division were I got texture flickering and half the framerate with crossfire.
There's literally no reason to not have this option on unless you are using SLI.
It greatly improved your FPS without hurting your image quality.
SLI CANNOT WORK WITH TEMPORAL FILTERING!!!
People don't really seems to get that...
You have to phsyically remove your second card from your setup to get it to recognize it's not a multi gpu thing anymore. ALL multi gpu set ups don't work with temporal anti aliasing in anyway
