Season Pass, Steam or Uplay?

i bought the base game on steam, do i need to buy the season pass on Steam or can i buy a Uplay key from somewhere cheaper and will it still work?

it works this way: if you own the base game on steam, you can buy the season pass anywhere.

if you have the uplay base game, you cannot activate the steam season pass, as it will tell you you need to own the base game first.

You can buy the Watch Dogs 2 season pass on uPlay even if you just own the Steam version. You just redeem the code on uPlay and any contents will just be installed and verified through the uPlay client instead. It just doesn't work the other way where you can't buy a season pass for a game you don't own on Steam.

thats what i was thinking, it loads up through the Uplay client so surely if i bought a Uplay season pass key from cdkeys for instance it would work fine?

Yep, I have external sesaon passes for Watch Dogs 2, The Division and Rainbow Six Siege for use with base games I purchased on Steam. Just redeem the season pass key on uPlay and it'll bind the content to the game through there.

I own the Steam version of the Crew and the Uplay version of the Wild Run DLC. it all works fine.

We are currently experiencing a much higher ticket volume than usual and aren’t able to reply to all queries as fast as we would like.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying Watch Dogs 2. As you have the game on Steam, you would need to get the season pass from the Steam client in order to download the additional content for your game client.

Obtaining a Uplay season pass would not have the same affect, as your Steam license would not see this content and download the files for you.

ok so the season pass was half price on uplay, completely forgot i bought the base game on steam and bought the season pass on uplay and it seems to have worked ok. a load of season pass exclusive stuff unlocked so its lookin good.

For some reason i can't buy the season pass from Uplay. Argh%#%### I hope Steam drops it's price a little bit.

wee update. there seems to be a problem :( the human condition content is showing as not installed even though its showing the season pass as owned. looks like i just wasted 18 quid, bummer.
