If it detects modified files, it simply won't let you use online features.
I know this, being an author of a cheat prior to the game getting EAC. I could go into the reasons why I did this, but this should be enough: I wanted them to get an anticheat as I was fed up of cheaters - and the more cheaters, the faster a developer acts.
Yeah I know, but you won't be able to play online with mods anyway because the anticheat won't let you since your files differ from the allowed ones.
You can keep it on, but it's not going to make a single bit of difference if you do - other than possibly ban you from the online portion.
Mod support? They don't have a policy against it, but they aren't going to make it easier to mod the game either.
Which is why he has it turned off as he mentioned in the OP. That is what the "eac_launcher" parameter does.
I've also been looking for mods. I have the eac_launcher parameter on as well so anticheat is off. But there aren't really any mods available besides some trainers. Bummer.
Um... I'm replying to the original post, which he wants to have mods WITH eac enabled - which isn't likely to allow you to play if you use online in any form.
That's because it checks if files differ from the original. You likely won't be able to play singleplayer without issues and if you can (doubtful), it'll automatically disable any and all multiplayer features.
