Is Scout X broken?

Been trying to take a photo in it - my second for the app - in and around the Tidus building. Nothing is working. I'm following the marker, it goes, then I use the prompt to open the app and take a photo and it just doesn't register. Ideas?

you don't need to take the picture from the app, you can take the picture directly from the camera.

IF you're in range of the location, it will show a small icon in the corner letting you know that you have a location in the picture.

If you don't see that icon, just try to get a better angle. Getting some distance usually helps.
