Cannot change nvidia control panel settings

I don't know if this is supposed to happen, but every setting is grayed out in Watch Dogs 2 on the control panel, even though it says I'm using my Nvidia GPU

It's certainly not supposed to happen, I can change game settings in Nvidia control panel

Yeah I have no idea and I'm upset by it. The options are completely grayed out and I want to tweak them to increase performance

It might actually have been something I did so ill just reinstall it and see

Same for me. I changed a few settings using nvidia control panel ran the game exited WD2. Went back to nvidia control panel and it's all greyed out. Have you found out why?

Nope, I dunno. I heard Ubisoft hasn't been the best with games lately

I am actually trying to get the game refunded as it performs poorly without me being able to change any nvidia settings, and I don't really like the game in general

Might be a bit late but this worked for me:
Download Nvidia profile inspector.
Open it
Click the tool icon next to "Driver Version"
Search for Watch dogs 2 in the "Profiles"
Under "other", there is a settingID called "Do not display this profile in the Control Panel"
Change the setting value to "CPL_HIDDEN_PROFILE_ENABLED". (it's in the dropdown menu)
Now you should be able to edit the settings in control panel

When opening the Nvidia Profile Inspector, when selecting the game itself in the profile tab, I cannot find the line Do not display this profile on the control panel. How do I enable the ability to change the game settings in the Control panel to change the FPS?
