my saitek side panel control deck quit working

I upgraded my pc hardware to AMD ryzen processor and windows 10 fresh install and a new install of farm sim 17 from steam. the side panel control deck dosn't work. It shows up in farm sim options.

when its plugged in the forward pedal moves the loader up. the reverse pedal moves it down. Turning the wheel right tips the bucket down, turning left tips it up which is a nightmare. I have to unplug the side controller and reload the game to use the froint loaders with a mouse.

I can reinstall the drivers there are non. I can replace the side controller but if its in the game programming or files that would be a waist of money.

I really need it fixed. Can any one offer some advice?

ummm, it's strange, you are not the first i view they have problem with controller they use more than one usb port, i think the last patch of the game have perharp changing something in the bad way,

it's seem the game accept only one single controller now, so for the people they want to use (such as i have view) 2 controller and one wheel, it's impossible and now you say the same thing...,

and for the research i make, i have thinking you can plus the side controller into the wheel but from the manual it's seem you need to use 2 usb port, but now the game seem accepting only one port usb for the controler, (any joystick) one mouse and one keyboard,

but for the suggestion i have give to the other it's in the "game.xml", you can try to add a copy of this line

<joystick enable="true" vibration="true" deadzone="0.14"/>

so, if you have two line for joystick, perharps they will give you possibility to use 2 joystick,

so it's can give something like this:
<joystick enable="true" vibration="true" deadzone="0.14"/>
<joystick enable="true" vibration="false" deadzone="0.14"/>

but i am not sure if it's can work, i can not test it because i have only one wheel plugged, (i found the price of the wheel with side control too crazy to buy one only for only playing a game ha ha ha)

but other thing you can do, it's if you have a multiport usb, (4 port usb on one side and one port usb on the other side, plug the one side into conmputer and all you device into the 4 other, like this all the thing use the same port,

again i am not sure if it's can work, becacause i can not test it and i have not windows 10, but i know windows 10 can be a garbage for gamer because they give more problem,

and if this probleme are caused by the last patch, i am suprise Giant have not trying and make test before releasing the patch but all is possible the compagny of today are strange form of life ha ha ha...,

oh!..., i have just found a thing in looking on her main site, it's seem the controller you have are one they need special attention to be able to work, because by default they don't work if you just plug it, you need to configure more thing, i am not sure if it's can help but you can look on this page at the question # 7, they say this :

I don't have the Wheel and Side panel but I can think of an explanation of why it has gone wrong. I am assuming that Windows has installed device drivers and the two "joysticks" are visible in the Windows Control Panel (or whatever it is called in Windows 10).

The new hardware and/or fresh Win 10 install has renumbered the ID numbers for the input devices.

The key binding/axis are defined in a file called My Games\FarmingSimulator2017\inputBinding.xml which still has the old ID numbers for your wheel and side panel.

Try switching off Steam Cloud sync for this game and then rename the inputBinding.xml file to something else e.g. inputBinding_oldversion.xml. Launch the game and see if it will create a fresh inputBinding.xml file?

Do you have success to correct your problem?,

i don't know more on this, but more people seem having problem with her saitek and even if they change it (one have chaged her saitek 4x ha ha ha) and the problem begin always,

some other people have talking it's can be a mod they cause this, but i don't think it's a mod, but you can try it disable all the mod before starting the game, but i don't think it's will change anything,

other have talking about a problem with windows 10, but some it's work for other, so it's surely not your problem because they have worked before,

other talk about you need to active the usb port from the os, because by default they are not active are go to sleep if you run in energy economy, ect, but i don't think it's can be your problem,

so i have diriged my seach again around the usb port, and more around your amd ryzen, and it's seem they have problem with the usb port, to be more specifical, the usb 3.0 port,

so i think it's can be this your problem but not sure, it's seem the port usb 3.0 from this compagny are not compatible with all, and most people have make test in swichtching the connected into usb port 2 and it's working, so, if you have port usb 2.0 try it,

other have make an another test, her thing have be imcompatible with it and they have buy a new port usb card from an another compagny and put it in the computer and it's working...,

so, perharps the problem are you new hardware they cause problem because the usb port are not compatible with the controler, and it's perharp for that your wheel work on an another computer and not your computer..., so if you can try to use a usb port 2.0 on your computer or if you have a port usb card somewhere into your house perharps you can try it, i am pretty sure it's can resolve your issue...,

but such as anything, we can never be sure before we have trying it ha ha ha, and i can not test this but it's neer all the good info i have found to try to help you about this, so, try to keep a look about your new processor..., perharps they have an update they can corect the problem, but again it's not sur it's this the problem, because all the technology of today it's all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ha ha ha, nothing work well ha ha ha

Just for info, Steam sometimes likes to take over the controller for it's own sake.

My controllers where not working aswell and the sollution was to disable:

- PS4 Configuration support
- Xbox Configuration support
- Generic configuration support (This one caused my issue)
