Weird game freeze on certain vehicles
https://pastebin.com/SYqKpnVL

So this error is repeating. Only like 7 unique lines in that paste. The rest is just an infinite stream of the same error. Loading up the game, no errors in the log.txt. Loading the map, no errors. But the second I enter certain vehicles, I get stuck inside of the vehicle, can't interact or anything. I can still hear things making noises. I can still see animations from things in front of the vehicle. But no button presses make any difference. Camera can't move, can't exit the vehicle, can't control any movable parts, etc.

What I see:
http://prntscr.com/fidh7m

This happens with and without vehicle mods. This issue does not occur in multiplayer with the exact same mods enabled. I have had no issues in the previous 16 hours in this save. Creating a new save with the same map has the same problems. Meanwhile PV17 and other map mods don't seem to have this problem(that I've run into).

I'm beginning to think I did something the game didn't like, but I can't figure out what it could be.

Going through the list one at a time, and different combinations produce different issues. Still haven't determined the one causing the freezing, but I've not yet replicated the issue on Goldcrest Valley yet. 5GB of mods is too much. I blame my partner.

most of your mods have error, you have more error in your mods than the number of stars in the sky...,

some of your mods miss command,

some of your mods don't show into your game because they have bad name and they don't work for the fs2017,

i view on of your mod they are not zipped and make problem if you try to play in multiplayer,

more of your mods have .LUA problem,

for this type of error :

81.Error: Invalid mod name 'Ford_F-350_dually'! Characters allowed: (_, A-Z, a-z, 0-9). The first character must not be a digit

rename the name of your zip mod, to make her not using special caracter, only a to z or A to Z or 0 to 9, no "-" or other caracter such as é or è or whaterver, only english caracter are allowed..., like this the game will be able to read it, but if the moddler have make an error in this, they have surely make more error in the mods..., so perharps other error will be adding to your game...

so, replace the name :
Ford_F-350_dually by this
'Ford_F350_dually

for the command line missing, too long to explain but you need to make some programmation to make it working..., same for other error too, and here you have some other problem for performance and compatibility:

183.Warning (performance): Texture E:/Games/FS17 Mods/John_Deere_3520/store.dds raw format.
184.Warning (performance): Texture E:/Games/FS17 Mods/John_Deere_Zero_Turn_Mower/store.dds raw format.
185.Warning (compatibility): Texture E:/Games/FS17 Mods/SecondGenFB/store.dds width or height doesn't equal 2^n.

but sometime, when you correct an error, some other error disapear too because it's only one or a little number of mods they broke all the game or command...,

it's perharp better to delete the mods they have big problem in it...

The non-zip mods are actually empty. Nothing inside the folder. And warning are irrelevent to me.

Either way, I'm still sorting through the mods installed. The only way to find good mods is by downloading a bunch of bad ones.

not true. some sites rate them, and the good ones are wellknown.
i say start anew and add mods just a few at a time, checking if everything still works.
using mods need a bit of care, well you see the result.
also, if i use a new mod, i try it out first on a new play without anything else, looking for errors in the log.

doing it this way, i odnt have much problems with mods at all, the game is superstable.

That method unfortunately doesn't work when the person you play with just goes "oooh, another mod, oooh, another mod" infinitely until the game goes crazy. It's true for every game we go through.

But a 5 star rating doesn't make it a good mod. I've come across plenty that were just absolute trash by any standard. I appreciate them trying, but not everyone can do it, including myself.

Nah ratings on sites, apart from FS-UK where the actual staff makes a report on the mod too, doesnt mean much to me either..

But as the other have said too, you need to sort out the mods.. I can see you are playing with a lot of american mods, which imo, are sadly known for being bs mods most of the time in the sense of their quality..

If you play with a friend that likes to play with you and vice versa, you just have to inforce the demand of testing the mods out.. Cause theres nothing worse than playing for hours and then have it all ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by some bs mods..
You could divide the mods up and test out both of you..
I was once the "ah a new mod" guy in our group, but ive learned to test them out before putting them on the server..
Mods are just like new farming friends, they can seem nice and cool the first 5 mins, but after awhile the chemestry might not be there..
So its better to test out and start fresh than having it freezing all the time..

But just dont use that many mods.. I know a lot of people say they use 200+ mods, but honestly, who the ♥♥♥♥ can or will use that many different mods in a single map?

Reese Jun 12, 2017 @ 7:58am
Exactly. I always have to go back and weed out the bad ones later. There are some mods we deal with even if they are bad. Some equipment and trucks just catch our eyes and we give it a shot at the very least. Back on FS15, he had I think somewhere around 9GB of mods. It was stupid. We only used maybe 1.5GB of them.

Oh well. Haven't been able to find the mod that freezes everything yet, though I did find a few mods that caused straight up crashes when combined with others. All is good for now.
