Having the same problem. Worked fine yesterday and today I get the Shader Model 3.0 is required. Drivers are all up to date?

I'm having the exact same issue. Game worked fine the first time I played after install. Come back the next day and I get this error. My graphics drivers are completely up to date. I even redownloaded a new copy of them and it still doesn't work after install. What gives?

Same here, i have an older system (use my mac book pro mostly and not my desktop anymore but to play some random games). It worked fine yesterday on the desktop with no problems!

Well for #1...how do you have windows 10 64-bit, but it says you only have directx 11.1 installed? It definately should say directx 12

I agree, How do you have windows 10 on a macbook

And if you guys are both running a Mac, I would say it's a problem with Bootcamp...

AFAIK, with Apple Bootcamp you need "special" Bootcamp compatible drivers, if you just downloaded regular windows 10 drivers it probably won't work. Most people say gaming with DX11 and Bootcamp on Mac's is hit or miss...

Just fixed it.. (Not using a mac fyi to play, just havent put any money into my 8 year old desktop)

I went into the windows /my documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2017 and opened the Game.xml file in notepad. I edited the <renderer>D3D_11</renderer> entry to contain D3D_10 and it worked.

This is a very common problem regardless of os with people using very old gpu's.
do you need a 64 bit PC to run it

No and yes. You need a 64 bit PC since any 32 bit cpu's would be far too old and slow to play this game.

But you do not need 64 bit Windows, it does support 32 bit Windows.

+ not sure if your old video card can handle it

omg chaning to D3D_10 works. So sad such manual things needs to be done.
