As far as I know you have to buy a server copy. Which I believe is the same price as the game.

I already have a server hosting other games and services.

How do I get s server account?

That sounds better. But I was watching Squirrel on Twitch and he was saying something about having to buy a special server copy to have a dedicated server.

I think lines have got crossed... my understanding is.. if you host the dedi server yourself you need a hard copy for the server.. you can't use a steam copy... so a steam copy for you... and a phyical copy for your private dedi server...

not sure about renting a server and how that works tho...

So if I purchased a "none steam" edition, would I still need another "none steam" edition to host my own server?

So it sounds like this game uses the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dedicated server setup as the past games. Basically you have to buy a non-steam copy of the game and all dlc when they release it and use those keys with their dedicated server software. Yes, you can run this at home on your own server if you have one. The dedicated server is a complete joke though. It's just a client that doesn't spawn a character which is why it requires a second copy of the game and dlc. It is a horrible system that they have used time and time again and the main reason that I will never purchase this game. Just save your money and keep an eye on Pure Farming 17.
