FS17 will not launch

I have a new PC,fresh install of windows and steam,yet fs17 immediately crashes right after i hit start.Is there a fix for this issue?

To advise a "fix" we need to know the cause. A crash can have many reasons. In case of FS it's often incompatible mods, a "fix" would be to remove such mods. What's in the games logfile?

Log is clean,and i'm trying to launch without mods.Found a discussion on giants forum,where moderator stated this issue is common with latest intel systems,and most likely wont be fixed by giants.Question is,how can they still sell a game which they do not support?

Thank you OP. I'm having this exact issue on a new installation without mods, but also on a new PC with a new Intel CPU. Can you link the Giants forum thread you mentioned? I'd like to follow it.

check the game log file in your document folder -> my games-> FS17 ->game log.txt

it will tell you if you have hardware issue or if its a software

Hello farmers! Good news regarding the fs17 issues with intel systems,after i reported the problem directly to Giants,they came up with solution. I will link the info here soon :)

I am having this issue aswell, and I can confirm there is NOT a fix for it. I have extreme doubt there will ever be, considering Giants' track record.

I used this fix from Reddit user Shishire, just applied to Farm Sim 17:

Right click on Smite in Steam, click Properties, and paste the following into Launch Options:

cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"

Hello Joakim,cannot answer to that,as i've only played 17 via steam.Are you also having problems with game launch?
