Silage Bunker Cleaner Mod
I know many of us, myself included, have had major issues with the Silage Bunkers not completely emptying after the silage is collected. It creates a headache as the bunker will not reset to the state of accepting chaff again and currently the only workaround involves editing the vehicles.xml file within the savegame folder.

This mod is intended to fix the issue in game unitl Giants is able to permanantly resolve it.

I modified the working width for the roller to allow it to be used to clean the silage left behind. The working width is just enough to reach completely through the walls on either side of the bunker. This should remove the silage that is left behind under the walls. It may require several passes against each bunker wall to do so but the bunker state should reset to allow for acceptance of chaff.

Beware, this mod may also clean small portions of adjacent bunkers so it is best used after adjacent bunkers are empty. Another solution would be to simply not use the adjacent bunkers. This mod is intended only to be a cleanup after the silage has been collected. It is also not intended to be used for any other purpose.

Thanks and I hope that this helps you all with this issue.

*EDIT*
Per BlueShadow125's request, I am releasing v1.1 of the mod which converts it into a cultivator. This maintains the same functionality of the mod and makes it a little less destructive as it will no longer erase fields.

Anytime. I hope it helps out. I've tested it multiple times on a dedicated server, standard multiplayer and singleplayer. It has done the trick. As I said, I did several passes and noticed that it does sometimes remove a bit from the edges of adjacent bunkers but not too much. Best used when they are empty as cleanup before the next cycle.

Thanks! This actually works! Tried to make something like this earlier but didn't work out so well.

Awesome! Just poped in to the forums specifically to see if there was any news on this issue.

Just made my day. Thanks!

could you change it so that it only removes silage and not fields, and ground?

Sure. I'll look into that. I'm not 100% sure as to the coding behind it but I'll check and see if I can limit it to only piles.

I made the change to the mod now so that it is a cultivator. It will not remove fields, however it will still act as a cultivator and remove what is below it. That was the least invasive way that I could think to allow it to function without it tearing up anything else. Thanks for that idea Blue.

1.1 still destroys grass and fields.

Sorry, I uploaded the wrong file last time. This tool now operates as a cultivator. It will still cultivate grass and fields but it won't remove the fields. Again, apologies for uploading the wrong file.
