Grass

I used my sower to make my field grass so I can begin to make hay and silage. In 15, when you planted grass the ground would be green. When I planted grass just now, it looks like the ground was plowed and in the overview of the fields, that field is grey but it says that the grass was planted. Not sure what to do or think of it.

I saw that same thing in my game today. The overview map didn't help at all with determining when the grass "crop" was ready for harvesting. I couldn't even tell just by looking at the grass directly whether it was ready for harvest or not. I eventually had to just set a mower in the field and fast forward one hour at a time, until the mower started generating cut grass.

Did you let it grow, because my grass looks excaktly like the grass around the fields.

EDIT: Only overview don't show anything. except a gray field.

FS15 was worse. When you plant seed it doen't immediately germinate into a dense grass. 15 seemed like you were using a paint roller instead of a seeder.

The grass will grow just fine. It would have been handy to have some sign in the overview map that reflects that, instead of the colour that's quite alike the empty field one. Try fast-forwarding time until it starts to go green (the overview map will stay that grey-ish colour, though).

You need to uncheck everything except the info you want to know. It's all right there. though a bit cumbersome to find. Grass never gets dark orange on the map colour scheme just the middle orange.

does the grass take more time to grow then crops do? I planted a field with grass then planted 4 other fields with crops 2 of those fields show plants but the field I planted with grass shows dirt

Anyone got having issues with seeder moving 2mph with worker?
Also is it me or does grass take forever to grow?

The grass takes longer then canola does to show the plants
