Do Ridge Markers Serve Any Purpose?
I saw these on FS15, they are poles that can be extended on sowers, and as far as I can see they serve no purpose. Am I wrong on this?

In RL they are your guideline for the next run if the soil "look" doesn't change enough to see the previous row. Pretty important with non-tillage direct drill (for example).

In FS, not much point because the ground changes noticeably but helpful if you manually sow. :)

EDIT: Tractor on centre of ridge marker btw.

They provide you with a guide to where you should drive on your next pass up and down the field.

If you put one down on the none worked side of the field then on the next trip you can use it to line up the middle of your tractor and the impliment will be a perfect fit behind.... wwhils marking the other side ready for next run.

I always go close off centre to get a litte overlap.... essential in 1st person.

Hope that helps.
