Savegame editing
Just found out FS17 doesn't hide it's data in game files.
It's a plain XML file in which you can edit absolutely anything.

Farming Simulator never has hidden the data. It has always been editable with the right tools.

All of the files are located under C:\Users\*UserName*\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2017\*savegame#

Username is your Windows login name and the savegame# is the # of the particular savegame that you have setup in FS17. The file in question is called careerSavegame.xml

You go on and spend 200 hours of your life filling up the same file through the game if you want.
I fill the same file 10.000 times faster, that's all. It's not even hacking because you only need a notepad to edit the stupid file.

Other games put this data in DAT files.

You can even change the age of your machines, for anyone who's having trouble with the maintenance costs... :p

Edit:
<loan>65000</loan>
lol...

As I said, this has been possible for a LONG time now. Some people enjoy it. I personally prefer the challenge. But to each his own.

It's really nice when you are setting up a game for several people to play and you want some or all fields ready to harvest and others growing and just a view that need cultivating. Already have pigs, sheep, cows and chickens to maintain. That way you already have a nice farm set up to (figuratively speaking) hire some people (friends) to join you as hired hands or partners on the farm. Other than that, yeah, work it yourself and have pride in your hard earned farm is what it is all about.

Why did you join a conversation that finished over a year ago?
