Best place for logging on GV
I have been grinding on Goldcrest Valley and having a lot of fun...

I now have funds for a bigger tractor and a trailer to deliver logs on to the mill...

But Im wondering where a good place to log is on GV.

Cheers.

The best place would be to plant your own trees in a field. It's big and flat.

Good I idea...

Im new to forestry and was wondering opinions on the following for early forestry work..

Machinery..
Puma CVX for 192,000 can attach front loader for loading the logs onto..
Fliegl Timber Runner for 17,000
I have a chainsaw just now.. once the money folls in I'll buy bigger, the scorpionking looks like a great to to use eventually..

Are there ok for now for forestry ?

Just don't be dissapointed with the payout, they nerfed logging payout

They only take a week or so to grow game time

The payout before was beyond stupid in how much you made. Its A LOT more reasonable now. And its not that bad at all. If you work your load of logs correctly you can net any where between 30-40k a truck load. You just need to cut the logs to correct length and size.

For the other guy asking...

Plant a largh swath of them. Let your AI helper plant as they will do a much better job than we will. Your choice if you want them to pay for the saplings or you haul the pallets to them. I perfered loading them myself as it feels more enjoyable. Get a chipper as well to grind up the thin logs and store them until there is a demand for chips. Sell the rest at the train station. The front loader is a easy start for loading them into the trailer, but be warned! Heavy loads will make weak tractors struggle! I mean CRAWL! Get a truck if possible to haul it with. And careful you don't tip over! Because if you do its very hard to right a full trailer! Reseting will NOT reset the logs and you will have to load them all over again. Also make sure to strap them down!

Thanks for the advice and comments..
I have bought a truck and been having so much fun..

I have found an area way over to the east that has a forest and have been harvesting trees there..Its a long drive to the opposite side of the map to deliver the logs, but the truck is really fast.

Here is the truck and tractor I've been using... I'm working at getting the funds for the ScorpionKing and whatever other equipment that will help my forestry easier eventually.

I also bought the chainsaw and tree stump cutter also..

I cut down my very first tree, but it fell straight through the ground with only the top showing.. weird..
But every tree since has played ball so its all good.

Also I'll have to look up on the wood chipping machine and how it works..
I'm looking forward to that.
