Why in the hell would you use a fricken console controller on a pc... That is sacrilege..
That being said, I would think you can.
There's nothing wrong with using a console controller on PC. I use my PS4 controller frequently on a number of games I play.
Heck, I even played FS15 with my PS4 controller on some vehicles to make it easier to do things. For others, I use my G27 wheel for the main driving and such.
WOW......this view is about 15years out of date...
No, it's not out of date. It's just my opinion. Those stupid little controllers are horrible. I've tried several from xbox controllers to steam controllers and none of them are to my liking.
You can use a micro USB cable and play it that way (there is decent PC support for it, but its nowhere near perfect), or get a bluetooth adapter and pair the controller to it. There are guides online on how to do this.
Without relying on Windows drivers, use InputMapper and you can set it to simulate XInput, which I have to do because developers seem to always bias towards XInput instead of Direct Input, so I rarely seem to ever be able to use my controller natively.
thanks :)
Many reasons.
1. I like to play with a controller and it works well in FS17
2. I do s*ck with a keyboard
3. I have a racing rig/wheel setup, and my keyboard and other equipment is sitting on a not so perfect position.
and no i don't use my wheel for farming or any other casual game.
4. I have a good controller
5. did i mention i like a controller.
Sounds like me and Windows...I swore I would never put Windows on my computer. Who needs a mouse ? I can type in anything I need to do...felt the same about gamepads and didn't have one until FS15 .... made things much easier.
how would that be sacrilege ? the computer masterrace had many types of controllers even before xbox or PS
and still inventing new kind of controllers on VR headtracking or even gloves
its sacrilege sitting in a dungon with KB and mouse an dont explore other peripherals
the computermaster race is open minded and inventive
