WHY no John Deer or Caterpiller?

Because John Deere had their own farming game, so they won't license the IP to any other game.

Caterpiller...not sure why not. Maybe they just wanted to much for a license. Maybe they just said no....who knows.

Caterpiller looks same as JCB and Challenger and we got both in the game.
John Deer have their own games and won't sell license.
But why not Claas? They are German company and FS is made by Germans.

Claas was in 2015 from memory. Licensing maybe?

As an aside, there were JD mods with 2015. Give it time... You can always paint your tractors JD Green and squint a little :)

I know for a fact Cat is very picky about who they license with. i think it would boil down to whats beneficial to Cat, and Agriculture isnt one of Cats big fields.. the corporation falls like this 60% mining/construction, 20% oil industry, 10% agriculture, & 10% everything else. unless they feel as though its going to help generate business, you probaly wont see cat license in it. agriculture is low for them because they dont compete much in the market asides for thier telehandlers,skidsteers, and wheelloaders.
