Storage facility for potato and sugar beets
I know the recommended thing to do is buy a storage building and load it with a conveyor belt or store them on the train but then they don't show up on your stats as to how much you have. Any plans to give us that back?

Personally, because of the 1.5M untracked silos in the game, plus the fact that you can simply dump stuff anywhere, I just maintain a spreadsheet that I update as I do things in the game.

Nope. FS17 has dump anywhere now, you can make your own storage spot for them but they will not be tracked on how much you have because there is no specific spot like FS15. It can only track what you have in a silo.

You can use the three train transfer stations (plus the train cars)

So you have no storage but still in the page of prices you have track of 0 L of them, this is kinda silly lol

Sure seems silly to keep track on an Excel spreadsheet as I dump them in a storage garage that I have to use a front loader to get them out of.

I storage now in the train facility but I do not load the train, I keep at the building, when I decide to sell I can load the train(if the case) or load back on trailer, also show up the amount stored and have a limit of 500000 L

I have been using the train storage facility because it does tell me how much is there and it is easier to get the product out and put it into a truck or train car. Thanks!

I've dumped pots and beets in the train facility, but it doesn't show much much is in there.
What am I missing or doing wrong?

Makes no sense to me that you can see the pots and beets in the prices window, but you have no way to store them that will indicate how much you have in stock.

There are plenty of mods that add storage for spuds and beets along with grass, hay, straw, silage etc etc etc I assume the price page will update if you store it in one of those, assuming the modder bothered to implement that.
knitnlady Nov 4, 2016 @ 5:39am
No the price page does not update those.

Does not show in the prices window, show when you drive a empty trailer to fill it back, then will show the type and how much are in that train storage

This means that you can know how much have stored but you always need to go there with a empty trailer or with a train, does not apears in the price window

If you turn the potatoes into pallets, then you can easily do the math. As they are 16k per pallet, you just multiply however many pallets by 16k.
VoshkaVonBadMeow Nov 4, 2016 @ 1:01pm
but that is gonna be a buttload of pallets for any decent size field.. and so far we don't have an autostacker for pallets (someone please?)
PureOrionBelt Nov 4, 2016 @ 1:05pm
One trailer will hold 96k worth of potatoes/beets. Plus the pallets stack well if you pyramid them, just transporting them would be tough. Only other way is to put in stacks and just remember how much is in each stack.

Your space will fill up real fast if there was a storage place for them, as thy added maximum amount that can be held by your silos now.
