shader model 3.0

i have farming simulator 15 and 17 i pre ordered 17 and it keep giving me the error "shader model 3.0 is not installed install latest gpu drivers now" yet i can play farming simulator 15 sombody please help

Either you need to update your GPU driver, or your GPU does not support shader model 3.0.

FS17 and FS 15 are not the same game...not the same rendering.

I have Geforce GTX260... And i have same problem...

I can see in specs that my Geforce GTX 260 should have shader model 4,0.... I have tried to update driver, its now brand new... And i have tried to reinstall the game..

Can anybody tell me what more i can try to do.... ?????

You need a direct x 9.0c compliant card to use shader model 3.0

Your video card may not be compatible or your drivers may be out of date.

fs15 used openGl, not direct x.

I'm having the same issue. Odd thing is I was able to play just fine yesterday, today I'm getting this shader model error. This has got to be a game bug.

A gtx260? How do we all chip in to a least get this dude up to a 1050Ti lol.

I'm on a GTX 250... the game still operated just fine on inital startup. If my graphics card wasn't up to snuff, it shouldn't have worked. However, since it did, you can't tell me that its my graphics card's fault, so stop with that nonsense.

If this problem isn't addressed, I will be demanding a refund.

ok same with me but im running a nvidia quadro fx 2800W and it plays on first start up but as soon as i quit it gives me the shader 3.0 im going to try direct x 9.0c to see if that is it

Use launcher from "x86" folder that is inside your main farming sim folder. It work for me this way (running on GTX 275). ;)

A lot of people seem to be having graphics problems since the last update, so you're not alone. See if the following can help you.

This game requires ATLEAST directx 10 at the very very minimum. Windows NT is older than dirt. I don't even know how you go it to install Steam it's so old. If you even get to the menu screen of Farming Simulator I would be extremely impressed.

Long story short...get a new computer.

this computer installed steam with ease along with a few other games and runs fine never had a issue till fs 17 came out
