When starting FS17, the game crashes immediately, please help!

I start up FS17 and it shows the loading screen and 2 seconds later crashes, I've read other issues like this but found no solution, I've done everything i feel like is possible to fix the issue with no prevail, just looking for help or the solution.

I may have stumbled upon something. I was somewhere I could not get WiFi, and went to show someone how FS17 crashed every time I tried to load it, when IT WORKED FOR ONCE! I kept it running and went back where I had WiFi and reconnected it. FS17 is okay, as long as you DON'T go into the MODS menu, because as SOON AS YOU DO IT TRIED TO OPEN MODHUB AND THAT IS WHERE IT KICKS YOU OUT. I guess Modhub tried to load upon regular start-up and that's what was kicking me out, but with WiFi off, the game boots fine.

SO not a real fix, because I can't download new mods now, but at least I got my farm back. I just manually copied the downloaded mods from my old laptop and pasted them into the local game files on the new laptop, and then I have my mods back. But I just can't use Modhub from in-game.

Yep, same here. Once the internet connection is off, i can start game just fine. It has to do something with the game trying to reach Modhub on startup, but GIANTS killed ModHub for FS17.

Wait, but I can access the modhub and download mods just fine

click on advance
click on outbound
then click new rule
now you need to block all connections on all exe , this includes the ones in 86 and 64 folders.
once it is blocked it will run no worries.

I tried this and it works... Thank you all... I will submit this issue to Giants. Hope they will solve it !

this sort of helped for me but i cant connect to mod hub or multiplayer can anyone help me with this?

It is for the game Smite but don't worry it works just fine for FS17 too. With this fix you don't need to block the connection with the Windows firewall.

Yeah i disconnected my internet then it worked, but is there no way to play the game with mods then? and what is causing this problem ?

This person knows whats up. For the record I had to block 3 Exe's in order to get it to work.

I'm having the issues on my laptop where it will start and crash after like 3 seconds, but on my pc it will run perfectly, they both have rtx 3060 gpus, but the laptop is Intel I've tried every trouble shooting step online I can find but nothing fixes it, even disabling wifi doesn't do it. I'd also like to mention the mod hub still works fine for me @stinkin badges

Actually, on my laptop I disabled wifi and unplugged the ethernet now and it works perfectly, except that's it offline only now of course such a weird bug

So more news, if I plug the ethernet back in while the game is running it crashes to the desktop within seconds, but only on my Intel laptop, like I said earlier it works perfectly on my dektop with internet and the modhub

easy fix thx for the info i can play fs17 and use modhub again, just have to close the blank cmd prompt window after your in-game. Maybe intel 11 gen related due to the different architecture and how OPENSSL_ia32.dll works. Also does anyone now a better cmd to close the cmd prompt window after a safe time period? (i.e. add a 60 second pause?) read the reddit post for more info.

open the steam properties for the game, paste the command into the launcher options
