Grass growth
Probably been asked a million times but what's the deal with this? It stays grey on the map while my other crops change stages. Does grass even have growth stages, and how do I know the best time to mow it?

Yes grass does. It has 3 stages.
Short - Just after you cut it.
2nd stage is longer.
3rd stage the grass will have flowers in it.

I always wait for the grass to 'flower' before I cut it.
Idk about 17 but in 15 the 3rd stage always yeilded more grass.
I'm sure it would be the same here.

Really? I'm sure I tried that but I'll look again thanks.

Also another thing, where can I store grass? Do I have to turn it into hay (or bales)? Can I dump a heap of grass somewhere and just collect some when I need to feed the sheep?

Yes it now has flowers and I've mowed it and giving a good yield from the rows. I'm sure in '15 the grass looked much longer when ready to mow although maybe this was a mod I had on.

Pressing Left CTRL and i will dump whatever is in your trailer onto the ground making a pile that you can shovel later.
