I don't know if that is possible in any way that is not a bug, at least for a game engine.
normally the wanted behaviour of any window losing focus is to mute sound - if it is ambient sound like in a game.
sure there are ways to let unfocused window make a sound, that is a wanted behaviour for message windows, some service programs, chat windows or mail windows...
but a game background music and working sound normally is to become silent when unfocused, I doubt the engine has a function to change this just by setting a flag or such.
only bad, cheap or old games continue noising when unfocused... ;)
just wondering if there any hope or another way to do this
specialy where when the machines are noisy and i quick want to reply on skype the sudden silence and back to noisy tractor is very unpleasing :)
perhaps it helps to lower the volume of the tractor generally?
in the esc menu there are volume settings for several ingame sounds.
plus, from the main menu options there is a master volume setting.
perhaps if the tractor noise isn't that loud, the on and off is less unpleasing. :)
