Big Bud Pack Sucks
I liked how it looked. Then tonight I tried it. In order to use any of the sowers from this pack, you actually have to attach TWO different pieces of equipment to the back of the tractor (with 1, I could get neither seeds nor fertilizer to fill.) This is insanely difficult, if not impossible. Attaching equipment in this game when it's ONE thing is already too difficult as it requires everything to be so damn precise. After over AN HOUR of trying, without even coming close to success, to attach the 2nd behind the first, I gave up and requested a refund of this DLC. Really, Giants? This is a simulator not a FPS or other sort of game where you should need the hands of a surgeon. BTW it doesn't even tell you until you attach that one piece only holds fertilizer or that the other one apparently won't even load seeds without the other one attached. Either that or this DLC is buggy AF.

it isnt buggy its how ya line up to the sower i do attach em with no issues sucks to be you its a awesome dlc

It's impossible as when you are hooked up to the 1 sower the turns are so difficult. That is insane. Hooking the equipment up should be easy, if not automatic. Even if it took 5 minutes that's ridiculous. Not being able to do it in over an hour means something is seriously wrong. If I wanted to play "hooking up equipment simulator" on an "extremely difficult" setting that would be one thing, but this is just ridiculous.

They should have just made it single attachment sowers and such.

if you have trouble reversing matt, there is mogli's reverse mod on giants modhub. handy for hooking up triples and quads.

It's realistic... Try hooking up a SeedHawk IRL...

I'm playing on "easy." I don't want "realistic", as I am not actually a farmer. This is not only too difficult, it's BORING. Spending more than a minute or 2 connecting equipment is a boring waste of time. It would be better if there was just a button to connect equipment as long as you owned it even if it was not even near the tractor.

Try my hookup method i posted on your other post.

The hawk is easy to fill with seeds and fertilizer. You can even fill the Hawk aircart with both seeds and fertilizer when its not hooked up to the cultivator. (the seed will not appear on your HUD untill you kook up to the cultivator...but it will fill up anyway) The Hawk can be refilled with pallets or by using the bulk Fertilizer and Seed bins mod that is listed on the ingame mod page.

The method i use to fill it is the most realistic way...I always purchase bulk fertilizer from a location that would actually sell bulk fertilizer and seed in real life like a farmers co-op. I buy and place the bulk seeds and fertilizer bins at the farmers co-op. Drive up to the the bins and load seed or fertilzer into a trailer. I then drive to the field when the Hawk needs to be re-filled.

When hooked up to the Hawk Aircart press F1 and find the key to open the seed or fertilzer. The attached auger will move into position and the lids will open,,, the ladder will also lower.
Then backup the trailer to the auger untill the unload icon appears on your HUD....hit the unload/dump button and wait for it to fill.

Giants did a really nice job on the Hawk, unfortunately the other airseeder will not fill this way...everything works the same as the hawk but the unload icon will not appear on the HUD., i guess they forgot to add that last bit of scripting...

I hope this helps you...Daggerwind has a you tube video showing how to fill the Hawk, if my description is not clear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOr5L9u8Vao
Its about 12 minutes into the video.

I don´t think it´s the dlc that sucks....

... and i actually think you tried to attach the seedhawk equipment in the wrong order....but whatever.

Connecting stuff in this game is easy and even with the more complicated equipment it normally does not take longer then 3 minutes.

And it´s still called Farming Simulator and not Farming Arcadiator...

Matt has a point. If you play this game purely for the driving of equipment the attaching of equipment and other similar tasks can get tedious. However, Giants had to walk that fine line between realism and the just get in and drive crowd which I think they did okay with.

I don't think the Big Bud DLC sucks, but it definitely is more work to setup.

Is this just more demanding to achive because of the tractors articulation system which always recentre's when no steering input is applyed or over steer's when using the keyboard which makes it act like a dogs wagging tail and never stays in the position you want unless your parked dead straight to the implement
evilmutt May 13, 2017 @ 12:41pm
You Just need to learn how to reverse Park with a trailer. practice that over and Over until you get it right, and then do it with a Dolly to hook up to a trailer. that way you obtain the neccesary skills to Reverse the Toolbar of the seedhawk or the Air cart of the other one

Yeah, I gave up on dollies in FS15 due to the difficulty and only used trucks for those bigger attachments. Anyway, I already got the refund.
kananesgi May 13, 2017 @ 1:30pm
I get where your coming from, mattgo. Especially if your using a keyboard to steer like I am, trying to back multi-articulated equipment can be frustrating to say the least. Get the Drive Control mod and use the speed limiter function to slow your tractor down to like 2mph. I've found that to be the biggest help in backing with keyboard control.

I just got the Big Bud pack, but not for the tractors. I wanted it for the new implements to give my other big rigs a purpose finally.
mattgo May 13, 2017 @ 1:39pm
I decided it was something I'd never be able to handle, given as I said I spent more than an hour trying - and how difficult using those stupid dollies was (and this was much worse.) I decided that that was enough time wasted on it - and spending more time could endanger my chances of getting a refund. There's also the problem of how incredibly slow the big bud tractor is (19mph) and the time it takes to drive it from the store/farm to wherever it's needed. Just another thing, like forestry, in this game I can't handle. Having very poor manual dexterity and tremors doesn't help.

Try getting an XBox controller, it makes driving stuff way easier....I would also suggest the Farm Sim steering wheel, but I am too lazzy most of the time to setup my wheel and pedals and usually endup playing with the XBox controller.
