Missions in Multiplayer?
Hi guys,
I own a physical copy of FS2017 and I have one question.
Is there ANY way how to activate missions in MP game? It seems devs have disabled this option in mp games but I'd like to know if there is any way how to get these missions working (mb a mod?) or if there is any way how to get money from not owned fields?
Thanks for answers!

Missions in multiplayer are meant to be off and rightfuly so should be. It's muliplayer for a reason, not everyone run do a over-rewarded mission for money simulator. Sounds like you just want to enable the money mod. Same thing basically, again, no place for MP for either.

I mean I don't want any money cheat you know, but it is hard to get money for other vehicles and even basic equipment. Or mb I am selling stuff wrong. I dunno. Thanks for answer though! :)

Multiplayer would be way too easy if they had misisons enabled.

Just takes time to get going in multiplayer. Me and a friend has been playing together and we have all the beginning equipemen, upgraded the harvester and bought 1 extra feild. It is rewarding when you are able to upgrade and expand earning it yoruself without missions.

Anyway I have one question guys, does it matter what type of crops do I plant? I mean in real life for example after certain crops you should not plant the same or another type of crops..so is there something similar in the game? thanks

Nope doesn't matter what you plant.

Nope doesn't matter what you plant.

i would like to clarify this with, not based on your question, but there are reasons that mean it does matter what you plant, it matters in terms of the market and storage.

When you start you only have 100k storage for each type that can be stored in the silo, also you need to watch the markets, if you over sell one particular item the price will crash and you will then be stuck with stuff you cannot sell, or have to sell at a really bad price. the trick here is to diversify your crops, now how you do this will depend on your farm and its size.

If you have the 3 small starting fields you will only produce approximatly 75k of higher yield crops like wheat/barley and about 25k to 30k of the lower yield crops like canola/soy beans.

if you have an upgraded tipper then you can probably do the high yield in a 2-4 of trips and the low yields in 1-2 trips so your not going to drop the price too much.

Now if you have several big fields your talking about a huge amount of produce, so at this point you would need to make sure you diversify the fields to make sure you dont hurt your self, and also store grains for if there is a great demand and sell larger quantities much easier.

i hope that gives a little more detail into why it does matter some what.

you can also store whatever you need in the storage shelters

thanks a lot for the information, also thanks scarecrow for tip.
It is true that I have to learn how to sell/buy stuff cause very often I can't see the suitable price for my crops. I will try what u suggest.
There is one more thing though, is there any way how to pump up the price of wood? Cause there is just one sawmill and the price for wood is in red numbers, so I suppose it is not worth much.. is there any way how to increase the price of wood?

I agree with both sides, but I also thinks it would be nice to do mission on MP mode. But maybe limited 1-2 per day or so. Just so u can get a few extra bucks :) But like u other say not so you only do that and become super rich in no time. A good balance would be nice :)

I think it's probably more to do with technical reasons than should it or shouldn't it be there.

Synchronizing the position of players is hard enough, syncronizing the position of AI would probably bring your server to a stand still.

Farming sim 17 is a down grade from 16 the fact that they took away chickens and missions is jsut rediculios i have already sent back the game... The reason they are good is because ig gives you somethign to do as your crops grow what do u want me to do stand around and "watch paint dry" like foreal...... They dont have multiplayer missions in multiplayer no because it would make poeple get lots of money quick if that was the fact they would have just made multiplayer missions much less rewarding its the shear fact that they didnt want to...... The reason they dont have them in multiplayer is because the new missions accually take u out of the game to do a sort of "minigame" type deal that accually removes u from the regular game easy to do in a single player game but i guess they cant do it in multiplayer fs16 missions jsut spawned crates everywhere for u to pick up with a fork lif or go cut a lawn ......... The devs made a list of soon to come things and not possible things to do to the game and multiplayer missions was one of the things they cant do............They could just put in the old multiplayer missions and the game would be jsut fine but removing them completly from multiplayer jsut makes the game exstremely boring...

First off you mean FS15 not 16, 16 was the mobile version of game.

2nd, if it is exteremely boring to you then you are playing wrong. Me and my friend are having a blast playing multiplayer together and running a farm together. Perhaps you need better friends that are fun to play with, if you need mini game missions to keep you entertained something is wrong with you or them.

Your telling me its fun to sit there and watch your feild grow? 2nd How an anyway is this an upgrade of 15 (sorry thought 16 was the last one) rather than the slightly better graphics... 3rd u said that they kept it out of the game to make it not rediculously easy to get money in multiplayer but if that was the fact they would have just lowered the rewards. 4th i dont need a Mini game in this game thats what they have done to the missions making it harder to add to multiplayer, if they cant make it work then why would they ever do it.....They made a list of things that were to be added and what couldnt be fixed, its not that it would make the game easyier its that they supposedly cant fix it..........btw me and my friend had loads of fun in 15 but there still needs to be stuff to do in between growing your crops.... Troll? like whatelse do i do while it grows.... Check out my profile pic its from fs15 and its majestic af..... al im trying to say is that they didnt remove missions from multiplayer to create a more balanced gameplay because like i said jsut make them less rewarding or less of them in multiplayer they just cant do it "supposedly"..... remove missions remove chickens add 2 crops and a drivable train .....oh boy.... driving the train looks so fun.... I was siked for 17 i bought it not once not twice but 3 times for me and my friends and the instant we noticed that they removed so much with slightly better graphics we sent it back.....Im not saying u cant enjoy the game but me and my friends didnt enjoy farming sim 13 woops 17....

HighoffGames..

This game is a massive improvement from fs15, not as much added as i would like. But they made plowing useful, before you only needed it to extend fields. now you need to plow every 3rd harvest.
another improvement is the 3 stage fertilisation which makes group games more fun as it adds jobs to do.
they added pigs (before they were a mod addtion to the game)
They added plenty more brands and equipment types
They added in a better ecconomy scale so that when you sell crops the prices change accordingly, rather than every in game hour (which you could exploit)
They fixed Silage and Wood prices so that you cant just waltz through the game selling those things for silly money.
Theyve made the prices for animals much higher and and aadded in a daily maintance for your vehicles, animals and buildings.
They add in missions for those that play single player (i dont)
Not to mention the graphics this game has..

Dont like these features? Well turn to one of the biggest modding communities in Steam for plenty of additional features to the game.

To me this is much in terms of improvements.
Is it worth the £30 ish price tag? Yes, i would have paid £60 for this game had it cost that much.

Oh and by the way, there is an option to 'Fast Forward' the game so your not watching 'paint dry' as you put it..
