NO ,Cross platform means steam versions to giants disc versions multiplayer

Sorry should have written giants PC disc versions

No. PC/Mac can only play with PC/Mac users. PS4 can only play with PS4 users and Xbox One can only play with Xbox One users.

Have to be on the same format of the game.

PC/PC Is it a Problem to play together if i buy the game on steam and another player buys the disc and installs it directly without steam?

Nope that will be fine all the PC versions are treated the same for multiplayer.

Yes. PC can play with PC doesn't matter where you bought it.

You just have to make sure that you always have the update on the same version. For different versions, you can not join the same lobby. We have recently identified this.

Yup have to have the same game version and the same mods to play multiplayer with somoene.
