Plows vs Cultivators, what the difference?
In FM wiki it says:
Plows can be used to prepare a field for planting or sowing crops.
Cultivators are used after harvesting to prepare your field for planting or sowing crops.

so if they both prepare a field for sowing, what the difference?
Now it says on plows:However they are usually used only for creating new fields
So plows are a one time use after i buy a field?
And cant i use a Cultivator to get the same effect?

Considering the default settings:
-Plowing is required every 3 harvests
-Plowing grants +10% harvest
-Plowing is generally slower as plows are smaller than cultivators (and require more HP)

Given that, plow when necessary, otherwise cultivate.

It's worth mentioning some sowing machines don't require either, however you still have to plow to get your yield bonus with those.

The order of field work is always like this:

Plow (you only need to do this every 3rd harvest to gain 10% yield each of the 3 harvests)
Cultivate (every time)
Sow
Harvest

(Fertilization can be done in between all these, but 3 times each harvest to gain 90% yield)

Then you have sowing machines that combines sowing with either cultivator or fertilizer, so you can do several stages at once.

There's also a front cultivator mod :)

Guys, not exactly sure but I think the OP is asking what the actual difference is since the descriptions are the same.

Plows take longer to use (they require more hp and requires a lot of HP) and also grant +10% harvest.
Cultivators just cultivate and that's required for sowing.
I think that's clear enough?

The difference between plow and cultivator is that plow is a device pulled through the ground in order to break it open into furrows for planting while cultivator is any of several devices used to loosen or stir the soil, either to remove weeds or to provide aeration and drainage.
