When is the best time for harvest?
I'm sure this is discussed somewhere, but when is the best time to harvest your crops? There are three “ready to harvest” stages, but will waiting till the final stage improve your yield or no?

If you are talking about wheat then wait for the golden (final stage) and the same with barley and any other plant. You are going to want to wait for the plant to be fully mature always. Just like in real farming.

You can also increase your yeilds by fertilizing your feilds after planting.

It's my understanding that there is no difference in yield whether you harvest in the first stage (Yellow), or the last stage (Golden Rod).

Unless someone can confirm based on the bits in the script?

Currently the only determining factors in yield are fertilizing/weeding/plowing, before the crops are ready to harvest.

I believe the colored indicator is mainly to let you know how long until Withered

Yes, I have tested this. There is no difference on yields depending on Harvest Stage.

Doesn't matter, it is just to show you how close your crops are to withering if you have it turned on.

Harvest when it says they are ready. First stage is as good as last. They only change color as a countdown warning for you to move it or lose it.. I always harvest on the first stage and immediately plant again. Why waste a stage of it doing absolutely nothing?

At any time, except for grass, which gives greater yields in its last growth stage. It also doesn't wither, so you might as well wait for it :).

Just to warn you if you have wither turned on.
